"Part of what made our stay in La Fortuna so special was having Stefano as a host. He was a great wealth of information and helped us to make plans in our three day stay. From restaurants to sites to see to recommendations and insider information, Stefano was the best. While at the property, we felt safe and the venue was clean with many available amenities. We truly appreciated the wash machine as we were 10 days into our trip!"

"The place was very cute but the check in for us was a nightmare. Could not get in contact with anyone and couldn’t find the exact location. Hotels.com was on the verge of finding us another place because nobody would answer the phone at the number provided when luckily another property owner knew of the place and helped us find it. Should just say in the listing to check in at Mar hotel or Don Taco."

"Such a unique and beautiful place to stay! The location is a little hard to track down as you have to drive down a dirt road, but wasn’t too bad. The house itself was clean and had such an amazing view of the volcano. The kitchen and 2 of the bathrooms are not walled off entirely, so you do get geckos/ frogs that come join you occasionally, but we thought it was a fun adventure! You feel very connected to nature. "This place is an older home but it is clean. There is amazing woodwork throughout the house. It is secluded and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked with paper towels. 😀 No paper towels or napkins at any of the places we stayed except this place. I guess I am pretty dependent on my paper towels. "

"We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. The location was stunning although I would not recommend for someone with mobility issues as the walk up/down is steep but there are stairs. The place is rustic and there were some bugs, after all it is literally in the jungle. I thought it was charming. It is the rainy season so the trees grow quickly and thus the view was obstructed. The property manager was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Would stay here again, no doubt."

"We were immersed into the neighborhood or the local La fortuna residences and close to the town and tour activities. We stayed with our 2 daughters, 10 and 12, while there is no AC, it cools off enough in the evening to be perfectly comfortable. There is a small market near by for basics. The yard is beautifully kept and Zuelema is very communicative when gardeners came to work. There is a river near by that we got to meet some of the locals and play in the water away from the tourist areas....

"We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things."
