How to get to Pellestrina Island?
You can reach Pellestrina Island by Car, Plane, Train, Bus, Ferry Boat, Vaporetto or Taxi Nautico.
Car use on Pellestrina Island is allowed, and you have 3 options to get there:
Option 1:
Use the Ferry Boat service from the island of Tronchetto to the Lido S. Nicolò stop.
By car, drive around the island to Alberoni, where the car will re-board a second Ferry Boat that connects Venice Lido to Pellestrina Island.
Option 2:
Head to Piazzale Roma (the most extreme point that can be reached by car), park your car in one of the many paid parking lots and take one of the water buses that take you to the stop
Lido S. Maria Elisabetta (frequent departures).
Get off at the Lido S. Maria Elisabetta stop and take the ACTV 11 bus which, while remaining on the bus, boarding the Ferry Boat, will cover the entire island of Pellestrina.
Get off at the "Scuole" stop.
Option 3:
Getting to Pallestrin from Chioggia
Arriving by car, you can stop in Chioggia on via Isola Saloni, where there is a garage and some uncovered parking lots.
On foot you will reach Piazzetta Vigo where the line 11 vaporino station to Pellestrina / Cimitero is located.
The Venetia Domus building is located about 300 meters from the stop: you can reach it on foot.
If you want, you can take the bus n° 11 which is waiting to coincide with the vaporino and arrive at the Lido of Venice.
Get off at the 2nd station (school stop)
By airplane:
From Marco Polo International Airport, walk to the cruise terminal.
Take the vaporetto towards Lido
. On foot, take bus 11 which will take you to Pellestrina.
By train:
For those arriving by train, at the exit of Santa Lucia train station, you will find the vaporetto station.
Take any line leading to Lido S. Maria Elisabetta station (often).
Get off at the Lido S. Maria Elisabetta stop and take the ACTV bus 11 boarding the Ferry Boat, it covers the entire island of Pellestrina.
Get off at the "Scuole" stop.
Ferry Boat
The ferry allows you to reach the island of Pellestrina from the Venice side only.
You can board the car at the Tronchetto stop in Venice, then get off at Lido, cross the island, board the car to Pellestrina.

Coming from Chioggia it is possible to reach the island of Pellestrina by boarding the pedestrian-only vaporetto at the Piazzetta Vigo stop towards Pellestrina.
Taxi or Private Boat
The island of Pellestrina is equipped on the lagoon side with comfortable boats for your own boats. Venice and Chioggia are easily accessible via the lagoon.
