"The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs, the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit, the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"

"The hotel is in a good location in Ventnor with easy access to the local amenities. The gardens are stunning and there was a good selection of food available at breakfast. The Granary at French Mill: charming cottage set in extensive garden with stream
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (91)
"My family and I stayed at the French Mill Granary for 3 nights. We really enjoyed it. Our teenage daughter slept in the gypsy caravan which she loved. The garden was fabulous (our dog loved to run and discover various parts) and the swing was a hit. Everyone was very helpful giving us ideas about the places we could visit. We really enjoyed the Isle of Wight and staying at the the Granary which is in a very good location to travel around. Thank you"

Best location in Ventnor, stunning sea views
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (58)
"First time at Saltys on a trip to Ventnor. Fist impressions were the amount of steps but then the property is on a hillside. You couldn't get better views of the sea once you've climbed to the flat. If you can handle the steps there is no better place to stay. Only gripes would be the dirty oven we had to wash before being able to use and the cheap bedding/linen and lack of loo roll. Would have no hesitation to return."

"What a privilege to stay in this piece of 20th century history. The highlights are the amazing views down to the coast at Ventnor and the sea beyond as well as the awesome night sky in this area protected from light pollution. The building itself originally a utilitarian radar station has been. reimagined for modern living with an Inspired open plan living area and kitchen on the upper level to supplement the existing downstairs offices, converted to bedrooms and bathrooms. "We had a wonderful 6 days on the Isle of Wight and everything we needed was available at the property which was very comfortable. The only minor problem was that when one of the showers was being used, the cold water pipe in the kitchen area rattled quite loudly!!"
