"Best hosts ever. Was greeted by owner's father and mother. We were shown the property and asked if we wanted a fire lit while we were out seeing the ruins. And we had a warm cozy home to return to. Homemade marmalade, wonderful cheese and meats. Homemade pound cake, good thing we only stayed one night we could get fat."

"Hemos pasado unos días en familia estupendos. La casa es cómoda, amplia, todo estaba muy limpio y muy completa en el menaje. La Lapa es un pueblo muy tranquilo desde el que parten unas rutas muy recomendables y está a tan solo 10 minutos en coche de Zafra. "The inner courtyard is lovely. We had popped in for a drink when previously in Zafra so this time decided to stay. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean. The breakfast was very good and we stayed for dinner, mostly due to the lovely surroundings. The service was very good and the food was fine though not outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint relates to the water. We were on the third floor and we had to waste a considerable amount of water...

"i booked a room with ONE bed for couple and was charged 15 euros extra for that. we saw a cockroach in the dining room as soon as we arrived. Hotel is old, not enough blankets for cold nights, bedsheets are poor quality breakfast (extra charge) poor quality"
