As we were checking in outside of reception hours we were emailed access codes only to find that upon arrival the access codes had expired and we could not access our room. "The Odalys was perfectly situated for our stay as we were based at the ice rink which is only 1 street away. The room was pleasant, the bed relatively comfortable although only one pillow each. The self catering facilities were adequate for our needs, however there was only one drinking glass and the table was very wobbly. Overall it was good, and was what we expected for the price: no frills, clean accommodation."

"Beautiful country house with lovely architectural features inside and out surrounded by meadows and woods. Close to many other lovely Renaissance castles, romantic little towns and- of course - the Loire. "We really enjoyed our stay in Fontaines-en-Sologne. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you would need and also has a barn area with a table tennis table, badminton and boules which we enjoyed playing. The gite is in a really peaceful location but it is close enough to the village and attractions. We particularly enjoyed the Grand Chambord natural swimming pool so would highly recommend this on a hot day. We also visited Beauval Zoo and Cheverny Chateau which were both excellent....

"The rooms are really new. So new that I can still smell it. I’m sure the smell will be done in a couple months. Other than that, staff is nice and room is very comfortable. However, only one of us were able to use the QR code on the doors to unlock them even after following all the instructions. We were also expecting a designated parking spot, but it turns out to just be street parking. Breakfast was wonderful, would be great if there are food options other than carbs."

"A ten minute stroll along a pleasant street takes you to the bridge. Cross it and you are at the foot of the delightful town of Blois. There are two small supermarkets on the street, and lovely walks along the river so east to spend days without driving anywhere. Also many, many beautiful towns and chateaux to visit within an hour's drive. The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable. We would not hesitate to recommend."
