Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. Still slept soundly but we could have been a bit more comfortable. By the time we discovered that it wasn't working, it was too late at night and there was no one to fix it. One excellent feature of the hotel was the on-property cigar lounge, although during our 1-night stay it was full of cigarette smokers. I would still highly recommend this hotel as a stopover on the way to somewhere else.

Nice colorful hotel. Location was fine. Do have to pay to park there. Good breakfast buffet. Only thing to be aware of, the shower is in the bedroom with no privacy. It was fine for us because we were married, but would depend on your booking situation.

Friendly staff. Modern and upscale look. Well equipped rooms. Excellent restaurant. Bit of a downside is the location in the middle of a residential area, connection to main road is a quick and easy, though.

Abbiamo fatto tappa qui di ritorno dal nord della Germania verso casa. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Ottimo punto di appoggio anche per qualche visita in zona: noi abbiamo visitato le cascate del Reno a Sciaffusa che distano pochi kilometri. Abbiamo conosciuto altri ospiti in arrivo dalla Foresta Nera. Ottimo anche il Ristorante e soprattutto la colazione.
