Get away from it all in our secluded, charming lakeside cabin! The Cabin is situated just between Jackson Bay Recreation Area and Cypress Cove Marina.
This spacious home has two bedrooms downstairs and a large loft upstairs. It is located on a private road and overlooks Fort Gibson Lake. Sit on the front porch and take in sights and sounds of the lake. A large patio sits aside the firepit - perfect for barbecuing and picnicking. You will have a perfect view from the deck to watch the gorgeous sunrise - close enough to the water to hear the fish splashing and watch the boats pass by.
And because good food is a part of any great vacation, The Lakeside Cottage is furnished with charcoal grill for outdoor barbecues. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator; range; dishwasher; microwave; coffee maker (as well as coffee, sugar and creamer); toaster; pots; pans; dishes; flatware; dining ware; essential spices; towels - everything you need to prepare a home-cooked meal away from home. Enjoy breakfast or lunch on the water at the Gigglefish Diner only minutes away in Cypress Cove Marina, or make the 12-mile drive into Muskogee to the south or Wagoner to the north for countless dining options. Gather around the fire pit to roast hot dogs or marshmallows (and storytelling!).
Fresh linens/towels for bedrooms and the bathroom are provided. Five public boat launch ramps are within two miles for easy access to the water. Cypress Cove Marina is a full-service marina located only two miles away and includes a roped off swimming area. For overnight boat storage, Cypress Cove Marina offers affordable boat slips.
The Cabin is furnished with a total of two twin beds and two full-size beds, and two queens. Sequoyah State Park is located across the lake and offers golf, horseback riding, miles of bike trails and Three Forks Nature Center. Make the short drive into Muskogee for shopping, dining, parks and the Five Civilized Tribes Museum. Take a day trip to historic Tahlequah, only 45 minutes away and located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, to experience a float trip down the Illinois River. Be sure to check out Seminary Hall on the campus of Northeastern State University - an historical treasure worth visiting!
Come and enjoy all the lake has to offer and be at peace with the sites and sounds of nature.
Suitability: children are welcome (though young children will need close supervision because of the rocky terrain), non-smoking only, not wheelchair accessible. The private road has a couple of steep hills that may be difficult for vehicles pulling a boat trailer. Please let us know if you will be bringing a boat. It is doable you just need to know what your doing. It is in a privet single road.
