"Spotless and clean and extremely well presented. Looked very new. Lovely reception manager who couldn't do enough for us including the offer of a complimentary glass of excellent wine. Would definitely stay there in the future."

"Hotel customer service was really great and facilities were clean. The rooms we stayed in which had the twin beds were satisfactory, however, the partition doors were not working when we arrived. Explained to the front desk in the lobby and the guy we spoke to didn't do anything about it the the next day. I spoke with another staff member and she sorted it out immediately after I explained what had happened. She was very apologetic and within half hour the maintenance guys immediately came to our hotel room and fixed the doors immediately. They were very quick with the repair job and we were very satisfied with work they did The beds and pillows were comfortable. The environment is very friendly and family orientated. The downfall is the turning on the shower and waiting for the water to turn on and figuring out the which way to turn on the shower lever. It was not straight forward. Recommend getting the breakfast added to your stay. Really good selection of cold and warm breakfast menu. Nice to see the friendly ducks in the morning and evening. "

"Perfect location, clean room with comfortable bed, walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Please note that you can't check in before 2 and it seems that there are more rooms than parking places so when they are full you may not have a space."

"Our family had a wonderful time at this property. Really handy for sightseeing across both coasts in the upper north island. Proximity to Kerikeri is an easy drive and the remote nature of the property was just what we needed. The property is well appointed with everything you need to enjoy a self catered holiday.
