Beautiful restored miners cottage with reverse cycle heating outdoor fireplace .

Jasmine's cottage is situated in North East Victoria, in the Upper Murray and is a beautifully presented guest house situated between Walwa and Jingellic, which is just a stones throw from the beautiful Murray River. We invite you to come and experience the picturesque surroundings of Walwa/Jingellic region in a relaxed and serene setting. It is also a place to get away and gather your thoughts (reflect).
Take some time to enjoy the charming countryside, with all the modern comforts of home. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms, living area, full kitchen and laundry facilities. Also, a lovely undercover/ outdoor area off the dining room with BBQ facilities and an outdoor fire for those cooler nights. There is reverse cycle air-conditioning system to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
There is a walking track from Jingellic to Walwa and the cottage is situated half way between the two towns (3klms either way) for those who like to get some exercise in and you can also walk to pebble beach (track leading through golf course) which is approximately one kilometer away from the cottage. Two great pubs for a meal.

Absolutely loved staying here. From sitting under the beautiful established trees reading a book to sitting on the front verandah watching the storms pass. Very relaxing. Highly recommend staying here. Would love to come back with my hubby and kids.

Hows the serenity
We had a lovely stay. For those who really want to get away for it all this is the spot! Dining options are limited locally so bring the esky. The Murray is majestic and there are plenty of great fishing spots to relax and go for a swim. The farm animals where also great to have around too!

Peace in the bush
Jasmine Cottage filled all our expectations, we carefully read all the reviews, and what people had written was exacting. We wanted isolation, views, peacefulness and luckily for us perfect weather. The cottage had every item you could need on a holiday, and breakfast on the veranda was a great start to the day

Melbourne to Sydney via Canberra
Long trip home was broken up with a stay at Walwa and then a trip through the mountains to Canberra. House was great and suited us perfectly with 2 young children. Walwa and the upper Murray valley is beautiful country.

Peacefulness & Relaxation
We had a great stay at Jasmine’s Cottage. Exactly how it was advertised. Wish we had more time to really enjoy all the facilities such as the outdoor courtyard with fireplace to enjoy the mountain & watch the kangaroos. We did enjoy breakfast on the front porch to soak in the stunning views. Played games thanks to the variety the cottage has on offer. Fantastic family stay. Beds extremely comfortable and heater/aircon worked to warm / cool cottage as required. All the equipment you need in a kitchen even a microwave rice cooker. The only tiny comment is a sharper knife. Terrific shower surprised strength of water pressure, softness of water made quick showers due to tank water easy. Had a great stay and would recommend.

Lovely house in beautiful surrounds, but a few small issues for us
This is a lovely house in a beautiful, peaceful part of the country. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we appreciated the ceiling fan (especially because the air conditioner is very loud), but the floors throughout the living areas are quite creaky which was noticeable in the morning since one us us sleeps in longer than the other. It would have been good to have more time to enjoy the surrounds, but I did love listening to and watching the birds in the garden and next door vineyard on our one morning there. Unfortunately I hadn't noticed on the house listing that there as no internet connection available (a pity for us young people who come to expect it), and this became a further issue since we had no mobile phone reception anywhere within 20 minutes drive from the house (with Vodafone). Mercifully my phone allowed me to access the email with the key lock code on it when we arrived at the house, but we had to drive quite a way to access our online maps to find our way back home. Since there was no phone at the house we felt slightly unsafe without any way to contact the outside world if it had been necessary (which it wasn't). One of the aspects that drew me to the house listing was the bath, but there was a sign in the bathroom requesting that only short showers be taken since there is only tank water at the house so I didn't feel like I could have a bath after all. I'm glad to have been able to stay at this lovely house, but there were a few things that weren't quite what I expected and I would have appreciated if they were made clear in the listing (such as the request to limit the use of tank water and the lack of phone reception).

Nice property but a few issues
The property was really nice and we loved the big front yard overlooking the hills. The house had everything we needed but we had a few issues. The address on the booking was wrong and we ended up on a strangers property late at night and not sure where to go. Some of the kitchenware was greasy and the BBQ was rusty and not really useable. And there wasn't enough toilet paper in the house. Still we had a nice stay and it was good value for money. Marianne was very helpful with answering all our queries.
