"This hotel had easily the largest room that we have ever had for a hotel stay, while also being very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with any requests, such as helping us with taxis and providing an umbrella for us when we weren't prepared for rain. As for location, you will need to take a taxi from the train station, but everything in the city center is very walkable, making exploration simple. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would choose them...

"Location excellent as very near centre. Would have been good to know about the 6 flights of stairs in the property description. A number of minor issues which we notified straight away - to be fair we asked for nobody to fix them while we were there but I took photos on arrival so we wouldn't be accused of anything."

"Not as it seems. listing says 3rd floor but is the 4th so be ready to climb some stairs & be careful coming down said stairs w.heavy luggage. Only 1 bedroom is accessible in a reasonable manner. You have to climb a ladder to get to the attic/loft bed. It’s very unsafe. Its wide open up there & getting back down the ladder is a nightmare. There’s no way you can get a suitcase up there. "The property is nice and good value in a great location. The one disappointment is that there was zero communication. Everything was communicated through AI bots. I had messaged to ask if there was a hairdryer before our trip. AI said yes but when we arrived there was no hairdryer. Several messages per day received only AI replies and it was never resolved. Go prepared to have no help when needed."

"One of the few hotels in Ghent that I saw and it is a lovely one. An interior atrium greets you upon arrival and Starbucks and dining options are in the main area. Breakfast is served in a separate room and there is a canal front terrace for drinks. My room had a pitched ceiling with large oak timbers and floors making it seem very European. Great bed and large screen tv. Gym with treadmills and weights. Walkable to historic sites, grocery shops and restaurants. Very safe feeling for this mature solo traveler. Marriott does it again."
