"Location location when it comes to taking a pause whilst doing the Western Explorer. Rooms are very tidy and bedding comfortable. Staff a little reserved but this may be to do with the teams of mining crews that also use it as a base. You might be exposed to some colourful behaviour."

"We were very appreciative that the Manager had put the heaters on for us so that we didn't enter a brrr, cold house. Very thoughtful. Everything was great! The only suggestion I would make would be to have a small "Welcome" pack containing a small milk, maybe some biscuilts, the sort of thing that would be of benefit for those people who arrive after the shops have closed. Overall, we were very happy with the accomodation & Waratah itself. Would definately stay again, if we come to Tasmania...

"The accommodation was clean and comfortable and in a great location right next to the lake and waterfall. The weather was quite cold during our stay and Jane was very helpful making sure the heating was on and the place was already warm when we arrived."
