Misrepresentation of property
One of the two bedrooms is impossible to sleep in because of the intermittent noise of a mechanical pump/ filter system during the night. When we reported this, we were told it corresponded to water usage - even though we made it clear that no water usage had taken took place at the reported times (i.e. between 11pm and 6am). The system triggers arbitrarily, and the source is located in the garage directly against a bedroom wall.
Additionally, several lamps don't work in the kitchen, there was no working light source in the (problem) bedroom (bedside lamp and ceiling light non-functional), no instructions for the (sophisticated) oven, etc etc.
Multiple exchanges with Bachcare and the property owner's representative confirmed that our email - sent because phone conversations proved impossible with network difficulties - had not been relayed. This entrained further tedious repetitions of our situation that had been made perfectly clear by email. It was not until late in our second afternoon that we were informed that nothing could be done to amend the problem - i.e. too late during an Easter weekend to find alternative accommodation.
We made a makeshift bed for two nights in the living room which has no curtains and several adjacent houses, in order to sleep as far as possible from the mechanical pump/ noise source.
Overall our stay corresponds to a misrepresented, heavily overpriced offer of what should have been comfortable accommodation.
