The Space:
Wareek Retreat by Tiny Away is a peaceful farm stay located in Wareek, just an hour from Ballarat and Bendigo, and 11 minutes from Maryborough. This holiday home sits at the back of the property, surrounded by trees and overlooking the Pyrenees ranges. It’s a great spot for nature lovers, with scenic walking tracks nearby for both short strolls and longer hikes.
Set on flat, solid ground in an elevated area of the back paddock, this 139-square-foot tiny home features easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
NOTICE TO ALL: Fires are not allowed on total fire ban days (Nov–May). The land host may also restrict fire pit and BBQ use at their discretion for safety. Please check with the host for clarification.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas.
During the winter period and fire ban season (through to November), guests can pre-book fire logs for use with the fireplace at a cost of $10.

Wareek Retreat by Tiny Away is located in the cozy holiday home of Wareek, just an hour’s drive from both Ballarat and Bendigo.
The farm stay is conveniently located near Maryborough, which offers a variety of shops and charming cafés. Nearby Avoca is renowned for its local wineries, perfect for a relaxing day trip. Enjoy a peaceful walk through Princes Park, where you can take in scenic views of Lake Victoria.
For everyday essentials, Woolworths Maryborough is a well-stocked supermarket. When it comes to food and coffee, Daily Dose Café is a local favourite, known for its excellent coffee and delicious breakfast and lunch options.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr drive from Ballarat
- 1 hr drive from Bendigo
- 2 hr drive from Melbourne
By public transport:
- Able to take the train into Maryborough and take uber ir taxi to the property
Other Things to Note:
- Self-catering accommodation
- STRICTLY PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED
- Mobile phone reception has a good signal
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No open fires and BBQ grills allowed during fire season
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except in designated areas
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
