"This is an excellent well-run hotel. Our room (and all the others, I guess) has been modernsed to a very high standard in recent years. Everything has been done well, with great attention to detail. The restaurant has a very good, reasonably priced menu. It is clearly very popular. Without exception, the staff were excellent. Congratulations to everyone involved in the redevelopment of the hotel!"

She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day). "The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was freshly cooked to order. However, there was no bar or restaurant in the hotel and apparently all the nearby bars in Jedburgh close at 8pm! Luckily there was a fantastic Italian restaurant opposite which was superb so we ate well."
