Perfect Stay for Sister Getaway
My sister said she loved staying at Oakwood because she feels like she's on vacation there. The Inn is warm and welcoming, the staff is very accomodating. We loved the fire in the fireplace, the fall decorations,the proximity to the lobby Starbucks!

The beach is small and tracks onto the sidewalk. Could have used more chairs along the waterfront and some in our near the large gazebo on the front lawn. It's a good looking building and the indoor decor is nice. I liked the pictures of the olden days in the corridor to the restaurant.

Good, not great.
Hotel was ok...not great. Service was pretty good. There were a couple issues with our room (light in the bathroom and drain) and only one of the two was fixed. Not too many amenities, but that's to be expected with a small town hotel on the lake. Probably will go Airbnb next time.

Very positive & pleasant front desk experience. Also great breakfast clerk. Helpfull & friendly. So refreshing in a day of non existent customer service. The check out experience was not all that. Felt like i was disturbing her sleep. Also restaurant late lunch serice was very poor. Lovely property for relaxation.
