This stay was a Christmas present and it was the best present ever! The carriage house was amazing. The neighborhood was beautiful, and the shopping and dining options were great and very convenient!
Perfect location close to the metro and 8th Street with lots of great food choices. Cozy house with all the amenities you need. Very comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen and bath. Perfect size for two people. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property.
This is a perfect spot for a DC visit! The neighborhood is cute and walkable to great restaurants, the metro, and local sights. The bedroom is upstairs with a great view and plenty of room to spread out!
The listing was/is 100% accurate and intentional decor. The hosts were very responsive and kind. When in doubt with some of the house features; labeled instructions were provided nearby. Parking always a breeze and instructions were also helpful. The location is perfect and plenty of options to choose for dining. I would definitely recommend and stay again when in the area.
Loved my stay in this charming and well appointed carriage house. A great location super close to shopping, restaurants, metro, but tucked away in a residential street so you really feel like you live there. Perfect for solo traveler. Sunny and bright bedroom which I loved. I had only one question and hosts were right on it. I'd stay again for sure !
The inside was a little bit smaller than I was expecting but did not detract from the overall experience of the stay. Great location, charming little house, very well appointed for it's smaller size. Owners were very responsive to messages and very accommodating when plans changed. Would definitely return to this property if I ever return to town.
My wife and I came to DC for a long weekend vacation. We were looking for a nice place to stay in a decent neighborhood for a reasonable price. This was it!Julian was very responsive to my questions. They obtained a parking pass, allowing free street parking right out front. The flat was easy to enter, very clean, and well appointed.Nice options for coffee and espresso were provided. There was a washer and dryer in the kitchen. We didn’t need them for our stay but it’s a great feature.Upstairs: Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had plenty of towels. The light was motion activated so it went on and off based on occupancy. My only very minor critique is that, at night, when using the bathroom, we would turn off the light so as not to disturb each other. However, unless very quick, the light would come back on while still doing our business. I suspect there’s a way to avoid this but it wasn’t concerning enough to ask.The location was great!Very close to 8th street, which has many good restaurants (we recommend Ambar and ChiKo).Walking to the Capitol was not far but we also found that the buses were easy and Uber was usually reasonable when we had tired feet from all the museums. We would definitely recommend this rental!!
A wonderful place! Very conveniently located on Capitol Hill with plenty transit options in a historic and walkable neighborhood. A cozy oasis, with all the modern amenities you want in a charming exterior. The coffee options were excellent:) Trever and Julian were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again, such a great place!
The Carriage House is a charming little flat in a great location. The space was nicely furnished, and the AC was much appreciated with the heat and humidity of summer. Public transportation was easily accessible (bus/subway/ride share), and there were plenty of shops and a huge variety of eateries in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was very quiet (although the Marines do practice a couple blocks away, so you may hear the band and their drills). Easy to walk to the stadium, or the Capitol building. We would absolutely stay here again!
