Stunning Spacious Lower Level Apartment near Rock Creek Park. Enjoy an open space, 1200 square foot, two-bedroom unit located on the lower level of our home. Features a beautiful natural stone walkway and steps leading to a private, keyless entrance with a deck and adjacent patio. The walkway steps may be a mobility issue for some.

The suite has a fully equipped kitchen, and work area with large desk, computer, printer and high speed internet. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, HD TV, and wood burning fireplace. Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed, HD TV, and a work area suitable for a laptop.

Perfect spot
This was the perfect place for our family of four. It was probably the cleanest VRBO we’ve stayed in. The location was great - we went for walks on the paths in Rock Creek park from the house, and then easily accessed the city.

The pinnacle of places
Shirley's residence was the best place we have ever stayed and we have been to a lot in just past year. Everything was great including the snacks she left us. Spacious enough for 6 of us to move about without bumping into one another. The list of superlatives is long so let me just say if considering a visit to D.C., book with Shirley. As we were packing and ready to depart, we got a chance to meet her and that was just another added bonus.

Great location with top notch hospitality
The location is in a great neighborhood with a short walk to a few restaurants and a 30 minute walk to Silver Springs metro with we used a lot. Shirley was an amazing hostess with many amenities waiting for you on arrival. The apartment is tastefully decorated and you unsteadily feel at home. We will definitely be back.

The apartment was beautiful! New, clean and perfect for our stay. It was fully supplied with everything we needed along with some very nice welcome treats. I highly recommend although it may not be the best place for the elderly and definitely not for handicap persons.

Wonderful Stay
Very clean. Good location. DC traffic very congested allow time for travel. La Ferme is a great local restaurant that is only a couple miles away. Wegman’s is a good place to buy any groceries located on Wisconsin Avenue. Definitely would recommend.

Perfect DC home base!
We had a wonderful stay at Shirley’s apartment! The place was immaculate, welcoming, and nicely decorated. It has all the amenities of home, and Shirley graciously provided snacks, coffee, bottled water, and anything you could need. She answered our questions very promptly and was the consummate host. Beds are very comfortable, and the living room/kitchen areas are conducive to a relaxing stay. Location is convenient to DC and Maryland suburbs, and is a great home base for sightseeing or events with family and friends. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect family getaway
This property was perfect for our family. My kids were THRILLED with the swing outside and snacks that Shirley left for us. We enjoyed several hikes in rock creek park nearby and were able to have our family over for a bbq one night. There was plenty of space for us as well as games for the kids to play. Shirley checked on us periodically via text but we also had total privacy in the space provided. We would love to come back again soon!

Comfortable, clean spot in Chevy Chase
My family had a wonderful stay and would stay again. The basement unit has high ceilings and feels spacious. There is a nice outside seating area next to trees and grass, and inside there are two bedrooms and a couch and large television. The unit was stocked with things we needed (olive oil, oatmeal, etc.), and the unit had art, books, vases, and other things that made it feel like home away from home.

Wonderful Stay
It feels like being in your own home. It is a beautiful space, wonderfully decorated, very thoughtful touches, and for us we especially liked the "cook's kitchen". Lots of sunshine through the windows, just 1/2 block from Rock Creek Park. Lovely neighborhood, too. We can't say enough good things about the property and host. Shirley made sure we had everything we needed. One tip to guests would be to check in prior to buying groceries. We were provided with quite a few nice things.

Perfect!
This is the best short term rental we have ever stayed in! Large, well located, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean space filled with incredibly thoughtful amenities. Fully equipped kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee and extra household supplies (garbage bags, paper towels). The bathroom had toiletries, plenty of towels and laundry was easily accessible. The owner Shirley provided clear check in instructions, along with directions on everything from operating appliances to local restaurants and attractions.
