The Space:
Welcome to our NEWLY listed Lincoln Park apartment nestled in the lower level of a beautiful brownstone home on Capitol Hill’s prestigious Massachusetts Avenue. Everything is newly furnished to our high standards to ensure you can get the most out of your stay, whether traveling for business or pleasure.
We can comfortably sleep six adults in 2 separate bedrooms. There is a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed and a sofa bed for additional sleeping. The gorgeous spa-esque bathroom has been beautifully renovated with a huge walk-in shower with gorgeous slate tile.
A cozy living room provides guests with a cozy refuge after a day of sightseeing; and with an open plan full kitchen, and conversational breakfast bar, the open living space is a perfect spot to plan the days activities. There is a dedicated desk space as well as additional laptop friendly workspaces (dining table, breakfast bar) plus great wifi and a brand new TV to stream your favorite shows!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire apartment, it is not shared and is completely private.
There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.
The Neighborhood:
The Capitol Hill apartment, which is in the Historic District, is just a couple minute walk from the most popular bars and restaurants in the exciting H Street Corridor (Atlas Performing Arts Theater, live music, food and bars) and to Eastern Market. Eastern Market is one of the few historic public market buildings left in Washington, DC and the only one that has retained its original public market function. The Eastern Market building is designated as a National Historic Landmark and has been in continuous operation since 1873. There is a crafts and antiques fair along with food and music every weekend.
The apartment is also close to the Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, the US Botanical Garden, the Mall, Union Market, the Folger Shakespeare Library, Gallaudet University, Chinatown, Barracks Row, the National Arboretum, the Navy Yard, the DC United Soccer Team (RFK Stadium) and the Washington Nationals baseball stadium. You can even golf in the city at either Langston Golf Course (1.5 miles away and on the streetcar line) or East Potomac Golf Course (3.5 miles away).
Most, if not all, of these locations are within walking distance, or easily accessible by bike, bus, Metro, streetcar and there is always Lyft or Uber. From museums, live music, comedy, improv, and stage plays, those interested in the arts or just looking to see something new will not be disappointed!
Getting Around:
We are located less than 0.2 mile from the DC Circulator (free at the moment) that runs all over the city, including to Union Station - the epicenter of DC`s action!
We are also one to three blocks away from several Capital Bikeshares and bus lines, including the D6, 92, 90, X8 & more! There is some free street parking (though please pay very close attention to signs, and it operates on a first come first serve basis) and a ton of available taxis, Lyfts, and Ubers nearby. If you feel like taking a stroll, Eastern Market, Union Market, Capitol Hill, the Capitol, Library of Congress, H street and Union Station are all within walking distance.
The 96 bus or the DC Circulator can take you directly to Union Station in 9 minutes (easy walk there in under 20 minutes), or bike there in LESS than 10 minutes and from there you can get on the metro system or continue by foot to all the sites mentioned!
