I stay at this property nearly every time I'm in DC. I couldn't define the decade of the decor with certainty, I'm assuming that its the 80's or 90's, but every room I've has has been very well maintained, the rooms are quiet and the beds are extremely comfortable. Although the rooms do not look like the sleek modern style that newer or updated hotels use these days, I appreciate the ambiance of a place that is not shooting for "Manhattan modern loft",

The staff here were great, and the hotel is located very close to the White House. The area is very walkable! I'd stay here again for sure.

Stayed at the Plaza for one evening but I don’t think I will stay again. Staff at check-in were cold and not welcoming. But very welcoming towards other guests. Our rooms heat was on periodically which left the room ycold throughout the evening on an already uncomfortable bed/mattress. I wanted so much to enjoy this hotel as the walking score was great to major tourist spots, however I was left disappointed.

Shower curtain rings were old and not clean. It seems minor but these things should be noticed by someone bc the guest always sees when the small stuff isn't right or up to standards. That said I enjoy the Washington Plaza and will stay there again :)
