Great Family Vacation
Group of 10 including 3 adults, 5 young adults and 2 older adults - very nice stay. Standouts for this property that might not be apparent in the listing include: VERY clear lake with nice sandy bottom and few weeds (even in August), swimming excellent and water pretty warm. Hot tub great, right outside main living area and easy for my 82-year-old parents to get in and enjoy the view and company. Property manager very responsive in resolving an issue we had. Lots of activity on the lake with people skiing, tubing etc. but only from 10-4 and more on the weekends than weekdays. Kind of a social environment with many houses vs. a more remote northwoods setting. We enjoyed.

Beautiful, relaxing lakefront Spring retreat
We loved the place with spacious main rooms, high ceilings, and plenty of beds for everyone! In particular the hot tub and just sitting on the porch while watching the lake was a pleasure, we would return!

Perfect!
This beautiful log cabin was perfect for our large group (family of origin and family of choice) to celebrate a 60th birthday! Because we rented in March, we were not able to take advantage of the lake and all that it offered, but we did enjoy the view! And the hot tub!!! The kitchen was well-stocked with every item we needed to make all the meals. Having 2 kitchen areas was helpful. We used one for meal prep and one as a bar. Multiple coffee makers allowed everyone to have hot coffee at the same time in the morning. The intercom system was a fun surprise! We played Reveille over it to call everyone to breakfast. We brought our own games to play. But there are plenty of games in the house (look in front closet)! This is the second time we have rented from Bonnie and her team. I highly recommend them!

Relaxing winter retreat
My husband, dog and I enjoyed a relaxing getaway at Grandview Lodge. We spent time playing games, cozy next to the fireplace, and relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. It was a great refresh and truly memorable experience. The house was perfect. Well equipped, clean, gorgeous and maintained. We highly recommend!

A few highlights from our week long stay with our family of 16 included: gorgeous central staircase; grand elevated deck overlooking the peaceful lake; the spacious upstairs kitchen with plenty of pantry, counter, fridge and freezer space; plentiful space for lounging, playing games, and accessing outdoors; the two kitchens for the multiple families; the upstairs game room that offered a fun change of pace from outdoor activities; the paddle boards and swimming space; the relaxing hot tub, and enough bedrooms for everyone.

Super great time. Beautiful location, fabulous view, amazing home. Only hiccup was with the boat rental and that is not related to the property we rented. Only good things to say - this vaca worked out on so many levels with my family. Plenty of space for all of us. Like was fabulous.

Lovely Cabin
This cabin is beautiful, roomy and well appointed. Lots of stairs to crystal clear water. Would highly recommend renting a pontoon from private marinas that have access to the lake. Made arrangements with owner, but no boat there, and received only partial refund.

Perfect for a large family!
This was the perfect house for our group of 12 adults, siblings, spouses and our 97-yr-old father. The house was very clean and well stocked. We especially enjoyed the quiet beauty of the lake, lounging in the hot tub, cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen and playing games at the large kitchen table. Plenty of room for everyone and lots to do. We hope to come back with our kids and their spouses.

Great house for multiple families!!! We ranged in age from 10 to 80. Plenty of space for about 22 People … big meals, skiing at Nordic, games, hot tub…. And new years!!!! It was a Fun family weekend and a perfect location!

Beautiful property, Unreasonable Check-out Process
The property is amazing for large groups / multiple families that need a lot of bedrooms. Having two fully functional kitchens made our stay really comfortable. Our group consisted of 6 families, each with two kids. Since it was cold outside we were all mostly inside, but the size of the property and the number of bedrooms was good enough that we did not feel like we were stuck inside. I had a hard time communicating with the property owner during our stay. I could not get any response through the VRBO app so I had to call to get in touch, and even after that it took them some time to figure out which property I was asking about as they manage multiple properties. The biggest pain point was the check-out process, which required us to wash and put away all dishes and utensils in dry state. With so many families staying together we were constantly running the dishwasher and the morning of the last day was really stressful as we were trying to check-out on time and make sure all the dishes were done. This was really stressful and left a bad taste after an overall relaxing weekend. What's the point of paying for the cleaning fees if we are worried about doing dishes the whole time!? I hope this policy is changed for the future. But overall our stay was great and I would consider visiting back in the summer when we can actually enjoy the outdoor parts of the house.

Made our wedding even more perfect!
We booked this cabin to accommodate our entire bridal party. We got married at Camp Lakotah, so the location was absolutely perfect! Our guests RAVED about how beautiful the property was, and everyone had plenty of room. Communication with Bonnie was fantastic right from the beginning. We will definitely be looking at booking this place again for family getaways!

Incrdible Home on a quiet Lake in the Woods
This "real log home" contains so many family oriented features that it is a challenge to recall them, here. Perhaps the most intriguing feature is the overall arrangement of rooms, rooms, and more rooms! Each seemingly unique and quaint. The "game room" was the hit for the "younger crowd" - ages 16 to 30 - who hung out there.....found sleeping in and around the game room to be their haunt....music blaring but barely heard by the "elders" amongst us who relaxed in the main living room and adjoining sun deck. This is our 3rd rental from the same owners/family in Wautoma. They have been incredibly consistant in providing familial accomodations.....Thank you! We hope to return! The Voigt Family

Great location for family reunion
We had a wonderful week at Grandview! We were able to comfortably fit 22 people into the cabin for our family reunion and there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy! The lake was great; we ended up bringing a few of our own paddle boards and kayaks also, just because we had so many people, but the few water toys and floating dock they provide were still a lot of fun.

Lovely, but too short!
Wow, What a lovely home! Everything you could want in a vacation rental! Very good communication and really quick to respond to any questions. Sadly, our stay was interrupted by a storm that took out the power for a couple of days. We were all very sad to leave early from this vacation rental!

Perfect Family Vacation Home
Our family group of 17 consisted of my husband and I, our four children, their spouses and seven grandchildren. The home had more than enough space for us to spread out. The kitchen had all the dishes, cookware and utensils we could have desired. The kids were in the the lake most of the day, and even took a couple of excursions via paddle boat (with parents!) to the small island they named Duck Island. Even my son's Huskie enjoyed swimming out to the raft! The adults thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The grandchildren are already talking about coming back next year!

Family vacation
We had 5 children age 6 and under. There were no plastic glasses, plates or bowls so had to buy some. The first house I have rented that didn't have basic spices to cook with. If you plan on cooking several meals bring everything you need other then salt and pepper. Nice to have a large pantry to store groceries and large kitchen to cook in. With 11 children and 7 adults we ate most meals in the kitchen/dining area. Son-in-laws and grandsons loved the lake and fishing. They caught a huge catfish, 2 ft long but released it back into the lake after showing everyone. Some of the ceiling fans were quite dusty and we didn't turn them on as 2 of the children have allergies. Only the TV in the main room and basement are hooked to Direct TV. The TV in master bedroom and upstair bedroom was only for DVD's or games which was disappointing. It's a short drive into town. Their is a great ice cream shop on HWY 21 on west end of town by a candy store. We had a fun time and enjoyed Wautoma and the house.

This Place is Amazing
We loved everything about this cabin. It's a wonderful place to go with a group. The hot tub and sauna made up for our bad luck that the lake still had so much ice during our stay. There's lots to do inside and the place is huge and so comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment. I highly recommend this place.

Sibling Getaway
We had a very enjoyable time, plenty of space for the 15 adults that we had there. It would have been easier to access the house with a code rather than a lockbox, which was difficult to open. Living room furniture could use updating, we didn't think it was very comfortable, sits low... It was a great place to be able to meet for a few days from multiple states. Host was very accommodating!

Look no further … whether you’re looking for a serene romantic getaway with your love or expansion space for a multi-generational family reunion this is the perfect rental. Gorgeous view, pretty neighborhood, drivable to fun activities, and gracious floor plan and amenities - this house has got it all. A Wonderful Lakeside experience
I would highly recommend this lovely, well-built and house. We had 22 people staying there from 5 years old to 75 and everyone had a wonderful time. Even though it rained 5 days out of 7 and we lost power several times, nothing could put a damper on our fun. We were able to go in swimming every day and the hot tub was a big hit! There is a lovely view from the balcony and we got to see a Meteor shower several of the nights. The two kitchens are well-stocked and the grocery store was not far away. It is a very quiet lake so we had a peaceful time. The water level is high so the kids stayed in life preservers since the sandy beach was underwater but they really enjoyed the paddle boards, the canoe and peddle boats. The 2 great rooms and the game room gave everyone plenty of room to spread out. Thank you Bonnie and Misty for letting us stay at your house.

We came up for Spring Break with the family. The only plan we had was to go skiing somewhere. Other than that we stayed at the cabin and played games, enjoyed the hot tub and went for walks. It was the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Thank you so much!

Great winter weekend getaway
This was the perfect winter getaway for a small group of friends, with close proximity to tubing at Nordic and direct access to the ice on the lake. The property is even more beautiful in person! It was a super easy check-in/out and had everything we needed. For our smaller group, it was wonderful to have so much space for everyone to spread out and have their own place to getaway. We'll definitely visit again!
