Stayed here overnight during a quick trip to the area. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was very clean, hotel itself was overall very clean and nice. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The “kitchen” staff was friendly, but the front desk clerk was asleep on her feet. She was not unpleasant, but simply went through the motions. The property was surrounded by condemned buildings. You had to drive through that parking lot to get to the Hampton. Very dirty and full of trash and debris. It wasn’t very welcoming if you know what I mean.

Don’t count on them communicating!
First off let me say I understand natural disasters happen… but you can’t go canceling peoples reservations without telling them so you can give all your rooms to utility workers. We drove 8 hours down to Douglas for business and when we arrived we were told they cancelled our reservation and there was no room for us. When asked what we were supposed to do we weren’t given any helpful information and instead were dismissed. So here we are a family with a 7 year old and 2 month old HAVING TO SLEEP IN A CAR because no one thought to give any notice that rooms were being cancelled. Staff was rude and communication seriously lacked.

Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel was friendly, helpful and seemed to have a desire to help. Our thanks to the front desk clerks, the kitchen staff that provided our breakfasts, and the cleaning staff that cleaned our room and provided clean towels. Y'all were awesome. We will definitely be staying at the Hampton Inn the next time we visit Douglas, GA.

There are only a few hotels in Douglas that I will stay at, and this is one of them. Hotel is clean with friendly staff and decent amenities. It is right next to Wal-Mart and a restaurant, so it make those convenient to get to, but also a little trickier to navigate to get into the entrance and a little noisier. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are staying in the big D.
