"Nice place with very friendly staff. Only stayed the one night as a stopover. Room was comfortable and clean, maybe could do with a refresh but totally fine for a short stay. A little outside Barnard centre, about 20 minute easy walk Had an evening meal in the bar which was really nice and great value for money. Burtreeford Mill, Cowshill This large three-floored corn mill is built into the riverbank so the top floor is level with the top of the bank. The water wheel was driven by water from both Killhope Burn and Sedling Burn. It was built in the early 19th century and was used until 1939.
