The hotel has a great staff, updated rooms, wonderful location with walkable shoppes and restaurants, and the transit system can get you anywhere quickly. Stay here when visiting Basel for a real small village swiss experience. "

"When we arrived to check in, 5 minutes early...we were greeted by three employees at the front desk. The woman who appeared to be in charge told us "we need a moment, please go sit on the red sofa." There was no "hello" no "we will be with you in just a moment" but rather...we are too busy to help you, you are here five, yes five minutes early...go sit on the couch and wait. It was a rude arrival to our accommodations and left a bad flavor for our time in your hotel. A little hospitality...

"Good location near the train station and with three different tram lines easily accessible. The room was clean and modern, nice shower, toilet in the “cupboard” a bit claustrophobic. Room is quite small, not made for a lot of luggage. The hotel is perfect for a short stay for a night before heading to the train station or the airport (airport bus leaves from just outside the train station)."

"We picked this hotel based on location and the many mentions of the helpful staff. The staff is amazing and Danielle at the front desk helped us arrange our lodging in Lucerne, provided detailed info about the train options to Colmar, Lucerne, and then Paris. The location proved as a great “home base” for our day trips. The 16 tram is right outside the front door, the “local” side of the train station is walking distance. "Clean, modern room and the hotel was really quiet at night. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was the shower gel was running very low and not filled up and only two hangers in the wardrobe which was not enough for our five night stay. Location was ok, not many eating places next to the hotel but only a short walk to the train station where there were great transport links and places to eat. Around 15 minutes to walk to the centre of Basel...
