Glacier Hideaway - West Glacier Log Home

Our modern log cabin, with 2 bedrooms and room to sleep 6, is a hidden gem that sits a few minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Featuring a large deck looking into the mountains, updated kitchen, large family dining table, fireplace to cozy up to, pool table, outdoor firepit and picnic table. With quick access to rafting, equipment rentals, activities and even helicopter tours, it's the perfect home base for any adventure!

We live locally, so if you need anything we're happy to help!

Our home is 5 minutes away from Glacier National Park, 20 minutes from Hungry Horse Dam/Reservoir, 20 minutes from the restaurants and breweries of downtown Columbia Falls, 35 minutes from Whitefish, 60 minutes from Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, and surrounded by some great local hiking and biking options for those interested in staying close.

Hidden quietly in a small neighborhood, yet over half an acre of private, partially-wooded space with minimal neighbors. Just 2 miles from the West Glacier entrance, this cabin provides everything you would want for a memorable vacation!

The entire home and yard plus ample parking in the circulary driveway.

Home features vaulted ceilings, wood floors, cement countertops, alder cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a wood stove on a half acre lot. Enjoy your morning cup of joe before hitting Glacier Park a few minutes away.

On the main floor you will find the main kitchen, dining and living rooms as well as a bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with a queen and 2 bathrooms, The laundry is located in the main bathroom. In the upstairs loft is a tv area, pool table, tv area with a fold out couch and regular couch.

This home is equipped with "starter supplies" such as paper and cleaning products, linens, and towels. The kitchen comes with all the standard amenities you might want including, coffee maker, utensils, pots/pans, and small appliances. Should you need specific items, please do not hesitate to ask and we will supply them if possible. A hot tub and grill are the newest additions this spring!!

Cellular service is sometimes spotty. The Wi-Fi within the house, while there, should not be relied upon if you plan on conducting work-related or other high functioning activities while on the internet. We apologize for the inconvenience, as this was the only provider in the area for internet.

Thanks for looking!

GPS, cell service and Wi-Fi are are spotty in the area. The home is on Hwy 2 just past Lake 5, 2 miles before the West Glacier turn. Glacier Guides and Montana Raft are right at the turn to the neighborhood. Please refer to the channel message sent the day before your arrival for detailed directions.

GPS, cell service and Wi-Fi can be unreliable due to the location of the home. Be sure to review the check in information sent 24 hours via channel messages for important information including detailed directions, codes, and household information, etc.

If you're not familiar with Montana winters, be advised it fluctuates and can dump during a storm. We do our best to keep the driveway plowed, but several inches per hour is not uncommon, and can be difficult to manage at times. We have a plow company on contract. The driveway is usually plowed in the morning, but heavy storms can occasionally cause delays - be prepared for the possibility. There are snow shovels and salt on hand for your use as well. A 4-wheel or AWD drive vehicle is recommended during the winter months depending on weather conditions.

If a pet is to be found at the home during the stay, the guest is subject to a fee upward to $500.

Best VRBO Ever
This was such a cozy cabin in the woods. Close to everything. The home included everything you need in a home away from home but the outside fire pit and hot tub was the cream and cherry on top. The hosts were super responsive to any of our needs. The cleanliness was top notch. I highly recommend this cozy cabin, you won’t be sorry. ( I just wish I didn’t live so far away, otherwise I would be back for another visit)

Great stay at Hideaway
We were very happy staying at this beautiful property. The house is clean, comfortable, quiet and well-stocked. A five-minute drive from the West Glacier / Apgar entrance, it's a perfect location for easy access to Glacier NP. We appreciated all the little extra touches (ice packs & a cooler, hiking poles, bear spray, kitchen and laundry supplies). Check-in was easy and lots of helpful info was supplied. Ruthanne and Drew were quick to respond to any questions and were VERY responsive in helping us reclaim an item that we had left at the property quickly. You won't regret vacationing here!

Loved everything about this cabin - comfortable and clean, with easy access to the park. We enjoyed the hot tub. We weren't able to use the fire pit due to the fire ban, which wasn't a surprise since we visited during August, but it looked like a great place to relax too. We would definitely stay here again!

Convenient to Glacier National Park and responsive hosts
My family stayed here for our trip to Glacier National Park and loved it. It's about five minutes from the west entrance to the park. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Instructions were clear. Honestly though, the standout amenity of this property was the responsiveness and communicativeness of the hosts. Anytime I had a question, they responded within minutes. I could barely put down my phone before I received an answer to a question. While I was there, Angela called me to walk me through troubleshooting a question I had. Truly great service. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Glacier National Park.

Beautiful stay close to GNP
Overall, this as a beautiful cabin the stay in. It was very close to the west entrance to GNP and just outside of the town of West Glacier. The cabin is as described and well-stocked. It was clean and the back deck was a great place to relax. It was located in a quiet neighborhood that was perfect for a morning jog. We did have trouble when we arrived, as the lockbox holding the key to enter the house would not open. It took 20 minutes of trying to get ahold of someone using the provided phone numbers to get it resolved. This was frustrating enough for us to give only 4 stars for the checkin process and communication. Overall- we enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck after long days of hiking in GNP!

We are a family of 5- kids ranging from 8 to 14. The house is very cozy and there was ample space for everyone. The Montana weather wasn’t always cooperating but the kids enjoying playing pool, games that were in the house and soaking in the hot tub. Great location- super convenient to get to glacier national park and close enough to Whitefish. We hope to be back!

Excellent Stay, more than we expected.
This property was clean and felt very safe. my friends and I (all girls) enjoyed the warmth feel and welcome feeling of the cabin. The hot tub was exactly what we needed after a long day of cross country skiing in Glacier. Perfect location - not far from Kalispell or Columbia falls and minutes away from Glacier Park. We will be staying here again in the future.

Pretty Close To Perfect
Loved our recent stay at this beautiful West Glacier Log Home. The property was clean and comfortable with nice amenities. Property Management was quick to respond with questions and the check in process was super easy. We had everything we needed. Accessibility was a little hindered by Mother Nature. The walkway to the cabin was sketchy. The snow and ice made for a treacherous walk from the circular drive to the entrance of the home found at the rear of the property. My partner took a pretty hard fall on the ice trying to get from the cabin to the truck. We would have used the firepit and BBQ had they been accessible (lots of beautiful snow), but I get that we may be an oddity in that regard to that. The hot tub was definitely enjoyed. We would use the property again. It was lovely!

Excellent spot!
5 of us took a weekend off from college to explore the Glacier area, and the cabin was perfect. Very clean and and seriously cozy. We enjoyed every minute, especially the pool table, hot tub, comfortable beds, the wood stove, and the short drive to both the park entrance and towns like Hungry Horse and Columbia Falls. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking to truly relax for a bit.
