"This was my first solo venture following my husband's unexpected death and I chose Jim Thorpe because we've visited together in the past and I knew I would feel comfortable both in the town and in the property. "My family enjoyed a long weekend, taking advantage of the pond for swimming and boating, the walk to the nearby waterfall, and the fire pit for some evening smores. Major Tom was helpful and, as others noted, brought us fresh eggs and was available if anything came up. We all had a wonderful time. Minor mark down on cleanliness because there were mouse droppings on the pans kept in the lower shelves of the kitchen, as wells as a large pile of droppings--presumably more than a couple days...

"This place was wonderful! The cabin was beautiful and the yard was amazing with a private fireplace and lit paths through the woods that lead to a huge porch and fire pit. The beds were super comfortable and I can not say enough about the hosts who went way out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The house was a short walk to everything in town and had private parking."
