"The house was as described. Very well appointed. Spotless. Quiet with a relaxing view out the window. We saw the northern lights right off the back deck- amazing! Check in process was very easy. Great location for heading to the north, the Golden Circle, Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Multiple locations for natural soaking baths, one just a few minutes down the road. The house has bedrooms on both sides with the living area in the middle so great for multiple couples or several adults ( my party)...

"Almost everything was fantastic. Just a few suggestions...Purchase a refrigerator with a working ice machine and filtered water to drink. The tap water had a sulfur taste to it. Separating the trash seemed to be a big issue. I suggest you label the trash bins to avoid confusion. One last thing...put a "notice" on the surge protector that ii MUST be on for the internet to work. It was accidentally tripped when plugging in an adapter and it was not discovered for awhile."

"This is a very comfortable, spacious home. Very quiet. Everything you might need is here. It is, however, quite remote, 30 minutes on an unpaved road and 63km from the closest grocery store. I would recommend it as a good place to get away and relax, rather than a place which is convenient to sights. The owner is very responsive to questions, she was great."

When getting ready to leave (after two nights) looked under the bed and hadn't been swept there either. "We had a wonderful stay here. We enjoyed the full kitchen and the hot tub. Our only complaint was the directions were not clear and we ended up at the neighbour's house. We found the rental afterwards, but had no code for the property in advance. The directions said to go to the main house for the code. We had no idea where the main house was, we couldn't see any other homes. One of us ran to 3 people on horseback riding by, who conveniently had the code. We would just suggest sending the code...

All communication is via phone or email. The VRBO listing said 2pm check-in but I was notified via email the day of my booking that check-in was 3pm. This is irritating after traveling overnight. They also provided us the incorrect door code two times to get in the building. They were quick to answer...
