"We were greeted at check in with warm cookies. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious and contained complimentary bottled water and taffy. We borrowed a complimentary DVD and enjoyed a cozy night in the room. We enjoyed the included breakfast with hot tea, boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, sausage, and potatoes. Afterward, we crossed the street and walked on the beach toward Haystack rock. The grounds were well maintained and we liked hearing the frogs in the pond and watching the bunnies on the lawn."

"Front desk person was very welcoming and friendly, he even called us to be sure we’d arrive before he left for night as we flew in and were behind schedule. If you’re not a tap water drinker, bring some bottled water along. The one vending machine was out of order. Stores very close for supplies though!"

"My daughter was hospitalized with pneumonia, I requested to cancel and a refund 2 days before our trip (bcuz pneumonia doesn't decide when it comes).. and they ignored my request or my message and proceeded to send messages about checking in.. Expedia sent a message stating they would follow up in 48 hours but I have yet to hear any updates, meanwhile Im worried about my child being short of breath or easily winded with minimal activity.. life happens, Hotel Cambria in Portland was VERY responsive and kind.. they cancelled and refunded right away.. I offered documentation and they said it wasnt necessary… extremely disappointed with Hotel Inn at Haystack Rock."

"The rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis. Our shower had black mold. We stayed 4 days, no room services, towels, toilet seal at base leaked. The hotel has been upgraded but no room cleaning. You can hear guests next door, even when they talked low. "

"Small things that make a big impression; watered down liquid hand soap, so watered down it would not lather. Open box of sugar on counter with coffee supplies, very insanitary. The towels had seen better days, old and thin. The place was clean enough. Never had any host interaction, just emails which were very timely and concise. "
