"The cottage is cute, comfortable and clean. Sitting outside is wonderful with the beautiful view of the lake and the plentiful birds in the area. We love the simplicity and natural beauty of Croton and Hardy dams and the nearby Muskegon river, trails and town of Newaygo. It is also nice to be near enough to Lake Michigan to go explore lakeshore towns. It is a special place that we have enjoyed returning to."

Wasn’t aware that we were expected to take our garbage home with us until we got there and weren’t prepared to do that. Meijer is a couple of miles away if you need supplies. "First time VRBO customer. Process for booking was easy, description of property was accurate. Communication with host was superb. Any issues we had were quickly taken care of. It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. "

"This was our second summer staying there and we are planning on coming back. I enjoyed getting up first and sitting outside drinking coffee, reading a book, and waving to people going by on boats trying to catch fish. We brought our kayaks that we used on the river by the house and also on the other side of the dam. The weather cooperated and we had an amazing time! Rhonda, the host, was very responsive and helpful. Can't wait to go back next year!"

"Parents and two adult children stayed in the eagles nest. We stayed upstairs and our boys had the entire downstairs to themselves. It was clean and had recent updates. The host Christine is on site snd responded whenever we had a question. She was great! The entire grounds have recent updates and are well kept. Even the beach had been raked when we arrived.
