There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. "This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

"Our Holiday in grou was wonderful. The house was really well equipped and big enoug for all of our family + our dogs. The garden is surrounded by fences and hedges. That gives you a lot of privacy and you don`t have to worry about the dogs. The garden is big enough for playing tabletennis and badminton, which we did a lot :-) Moreover there is a little ferry 5 minutes away, which brings you to the city center for shopping or visiting restaurants or doing some waterspouts. "Obwohl der Wettergott nicht so ganz auf unserer Seite war haben wir einen traumhaften Urlaub erlebt. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Mein Lieblingsplatz war am Fenster mit Blick auf den Kanal und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe . Auch von den Ausflüge in die Umgebung mit den kleinen gepflegten Orten haben wir sehr genossen. Rundum ein traumhafter Urlaub den wir hoffentlich bald wiederholen werden"
