Grand Canyon, Williams, Route 66, Historic Getaway

We invite you to stay at our comfortable, inviting, and historic home, built in 1900. We are located in the historic residential district of the scenic mountain town of Williams, Arizona off the nostalgic Route 66.
Our home is decorated with antique furnishings and items of the historic era. House comfortably sleeps 8, with 3 themed bedrooms. The Wild West Room hosts a queen size bed, the Scarlet Room a full size bed, the Route 66 Room a trundle bed which converts into a king or 2 twin beds and the living room has a queen sofa pull out bed. There are two full baths supplied with towels and basic amenities. The kitchen is equipped with both basic and small appliances, pantry items, full place settings, silverware, and cookware. Home features a comfortable living room and dining area, a small office with a library containing books and information on the Grand Canyon, historical Williams, Route 66, Arizona, and the Wild West.
Our home has an inviting veranda front porch for viewing the stunning Arizona sunsets and looking out into the spectacular starry moonlit nights and a back patio with an outside grill and chiminea for a cozy fire.
We are 55 minutes from the breathtaking and enchanting Grand Canyon.
Williams is home to the Grand Canyon Railway and its winter Polar Express which runs from November thru the first part of January. We are approximately 60 minutes from Oak Creek Canyon and Village and the colorful red rock town of Sedona. We are about 60 miles east of the intriguing Grand Canyon Caverns near Seligman, AZ and about 50 minutes from the Hopi and Navajo Nations where you can purchase Native American arts and crafts and visit their ancient village and ruins.
We are within minutes of fishing, hunting, hiking, cycling, swimming, golfing, snow skiing, sledding and exploring.
Our home is 1 block from the Kaibab National Forest where you can take scenic drives to view wildlife in their natural habitat or hike and rock climb in the wilderness area of Sycamore Canyon. We are about 45 minutes away from the beautiful Arizona Snowbowl where you can snowboard and ski in the winter months and enjoy scenic gondola rides and other activities in the summer months.
Our home is located within walking distance to the historic Route 66, where you can dine in local charming restaurants, visit our hometown brewery or our wine tasting lounge and take a horse and carriage ride thru downtown Williams with its old historic saloons, gift and craft shops. Williams is minutes from Bearizona, the Deer Farm, Canyon Coaster Adventure Park, and about an hour and half from the historic ghost town of Jerome, AZ.

A Great Basecamp for All of Northern Arizona
Stayed for several nights with some friends. The house brought back many great memories, and we could use it as a base camp for visiting many Northern Arizona attractions. The board games, and especially the domino set, was a great way to pass time in the evenings. I'll definitely stay again on my next trip to Williams.

Perfect Getaway
Perfect place to stay when visiting Williams or Grand Canyon. Close enough to walk to downtown, but still quiet and peaceful. The house was very clean and comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, and a nice private back yard area with a BBQ. Easy check in and check out process and great communication from owners, highly recommend, Thanks so much!

Not the cleanest and rude neighbor
2 families of 7 people total stayed here. This home is old so we could oversee the uneven floors and lack of modern touches. However, there is only one wall AC unit in the living room and the house can be very warm during hot summer days, especially in the front room. When opening the windows to remedy the heat, we were met with a ton of dust and cob webs. In addition, while there are 2 bathrooms, the water pressure is so poor you are advised to only take one shower at a time. This can be time consuming with larger parties. Furthermore, while the house is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, the neighbor made this location undesirable for anyone with children. Due to the high heat, we left the windows open at night but continued to let the 3 kids play video games in the living room. They weren’t being too loud…typical of children under the age of 12. There was no music or fighting…just 3 kids playing Mario Party games. However, the older man from next door came over and yelled at us that the kids need to go to bed. He really scared the kids. From that point on, all of us were extra careful to be super quiet so as to not disturb the neighbor. Not a great way to spend a vacation I’d say. Fortunately, we weren’t home much as we spent the days exploring the area. Lastly, on the last day there and as we were putting away the sofa bed, we noticed a dead mouse under the couch. All in all, we will be looking elsewhere when booking another home in Williams.

A cute classic house in a GREAT location
We found this house a great size for 2 teens, my MIL, my husband and I. The location meant that we could walk to downtown and to the train station (which was amazing) and the generous rooms and lovely back patio gave us space to relax. The house is classic and clean. Recommend the town and Williams!

William's antiquated.
Tha house was built in 1920's. The floors were not level and had many areas where a step down was done. The old heating system was hard to regulate and there weren't any instructions.

This was the perfect property to call home base for exploring the Grand Canyon area with children! We wanted to ride the train to the rim. We did this with ease from this property. We thoroughly enjoyed nearby Bearizona as well. Loved the very friendly and walkable Williams smalltown very much! We loved exploring this historic home and all it's unique decor.
