"First off the bathroom is not in the cabin, I had a hard time figuring that out from the pictures, but got a quick response from the host. The cabins are heated and have electricity in them, the bed is clean and sheets are soft. The chair in the corner a bit stained but we didn’t sit inside. The property is large and private other than the 1 other cabin next door. We had a nice night by the fire pit, it would have been an added perk to have wood supplied right there, but there is wood available...

"I can’t say enough about our host, Bob, and this property. If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of heaven, this immaculate log cabin is the place. "My friends and I stayed here, and we very much enjoyed a quiet place to stay at the end of the day. We were racing nearby at the Dragway for a few days, the location was great. "We booked a couple nights to attend a show at Tanglewood and Chris and Ellen's Heartwood cabin did not disappoint. Great proximity to countless things of interest (amazing digital guidebook provided by hosts) we were only able to scratch the surface. "We had a great time golfing, hiking and exploring the Wilmington shops and restaurants. The house has lots of charm but is on the older side. Some cosmetic updates have been made such as new beds(very comfortable), great heating and A/C, new deck to enjoy the outside and fresh paint and modern decor inside. The bathrooms could use update and repair. Large groups should confirm that all bathrooms are functional before booking. Overall a nice place to stay."
