Charming Two Bedroom Apt in Coastal Village

Summary:
Come stay in this quiet coastal Maine village, right in town! Down the road from the Schoodic Point portion of Acadia National Park. This renovated two bedroom, one bathroom is a perfect and affordable option for travelers to the region, located on the second floor in the center of town. Featuring high-speed internet, TV, central AC and much more. Come downstairs in the morning for a cup of Speckled Ax coffee at newly opened Harbor Market to start your day. Come to Downeast Maine!

The Space:
Renovated, bright and light, the apartment offers a great respite while exploring the area. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and there is a fold out sofa in the living room.

Guest Access:
When you arrive, please use the second-floor side entrance of the building to gain access.

Outer Door: The outer door is left open for your convenience.
Apartment Door: Once inside, go straight ahead—the apartment door is on the left.

Your door code will be shared with you 24 hours before check-in.

The Neighborhood:
Located in downtown Winter Harbor, which is a sleepy coastal community with direct ferry access to Bar Harbor with none of the crowds!

Getting Around:
There is dedicated parking for guests. You can walk around town for short trips to dinner at The Gallery or Treehouse Seaside Grill, or a trip to the local grocery store or our very own Harbor Market downstairs.

Other Things to Note:
Guests have access to the entire apartment

This is a three unit building, two apartments and our newly opened store, Harbor Market, which will be a great spot for breakfast and lunch, open daily.

Cute apartment in a great location
We stayed in the apartment for 3 nights and our stay could not have been better! The apartment is in the middle of town, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It was spotlessly clean and has a lovely porch which has a view of the harbor. There is also easy access to Schoodic Peninsula and some nice hiking trails. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A Perfect Little Piece of Maine
Winter Harbor is a quintessential small Maine coastal town. Wonderful and quaint dining, fabulous art, and amazing Maine coastal vistas all within minutes of this location! Walk, bike, or hike, you will not be disappointed!

Quaint and Quiet
This location was perfect for us! It's about 5 minutes to Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula, 55 minutes to Hull Visitors Center on MDI. Our boys loved playing in the small park a block over, walking to the 5&10, and getting muffins from JM Gerrish. Harbor Market, directly underneath, was a great coffee space for our last day but only open Tuesday‐Saturday from 6-3ish. It's not a easy to see the harbor as the pictures lead you to believe, but that wasn't a problem for us! Great space if you like being away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to visit.

Quiet Getaway
Winter Harbor is a small beautiful town, about 50 minutes from the main Arcadia State Park. Great for hiking and bring your bikes. The apartment was clean and decorated nicely. Great little cafe below the apartment.

Quiet time of year
Least crowded we have ever experienced in Acadia area. Bar Harbor was empty but even quiet Winter Harbor had services available. Next time we want to try the breakfast/lunch restaurant downstairs

Delighful! Comfortable and immaculate apartment.
We chose this location as a part-way point between Bangor and Saint John, New Brunswick that would give us a convenient place from which to visit the Maine coast. We had an excellent experience! Comfortable beds and just enough space to give each of two teens enough room to co-exist harmoniously for our two night stay. We loved the decor. We also had two excellent breakfasts at the Harbor Market downstairs. Despite rainy, chilly weather, we were so comfortable and would happily have stayed longer.

Charming Winter Harbor!
We wanted to stay outside the Bar Harbor area and still have access to Acadia and points north. Winter Harbor is perfect. The accommodations are attractive, clean, well appointed and above the Harbor Market. Just walk down for coffee, breakfast sandwiches or pastries. What could be better than that! Good communication with property manager and the apartment is spacious and comfortable! Winter Harbor has several excellent restaurants! We would stay again!

PERFECT
We had such a great time in Winter Harbor on our Maine adventure. This location in this quiet town was perfect - we told the locals we wouldn’t post or say anything about it in efforts to keep it a quiet, lovely place. But, it wouldn’t be right not to review the lodging since it was just want we needed and made the trip to Maine that much better. As two city folks, we liked the walkability to grocery store(s) and bars. We loved sitting out back at night/in the morning while listening to the waves lap in harbor. It was an absolute delight all around. I’d say more lovely things - but you should experience Winter Harbor for yourself!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Steven’s place. Nicely furnished with lots of personality and comfortable beds. Conveniently located over Harbor Market and about a 45 minute drive to Acadia. Steven was very hospitable and responsive to our questions. Would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend. Location is perfect for visitors who are staying long enough to experience both sides of Acadia National Park. Indeed, as avid hikers we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the Schoodic peninsula aspect of Acadia. If you like to cook you will find a very nice kitchen In the apartment and two excellent sources of provisions within two blocks. In addition, there are several very good restaurants within walking distance. This was our third visit to Acadia over 20 years. Our first as retirees and our best by far.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful apartment. Coffee shop downstairs, restaurants within walking distance, lovely view from the porch. Bed was so comfortable! Apartment had everything we needed and it was nice to go on walks from there. Quieter than Bar Harbor and we loved that! Perfect for a quiet getaway and to explore Downeast Maine!

We had a wonderful stay here. While it was just as described…the pictures didn’t do it justice. It’s roomier in person and has a lot of nice touches. There’s a nice patio as well that gives a glimpse of the harbor. The bed was super comfy and everything is spotless. It was everything we needed. Good location, just a very short walk to get a bite to eat. The market downstairs is very convenient as it opens early. So glad we thought to look outside of Bar Harbor for a quiet place with character. Would definitely do it again.

Perfection for Bar Harbor & Downeast
Steven’s place in Winter Harbor is superb on all fronts. My family of 4 very comfortably stayed at his spacious, clean, and updated apartment that is perfectly and uniquely positioned for all experiences for the area. We explored all of Winter Harbor’s offerings as well as took the ferry over (with impeccable views of Acadia) to Bar Harbor for a day. It was amazing to be able to remove ourselves from the hustle of tourism and relax back in Winter Harbor post our hike and our tour of Bar Harbor’s offerings. Look no further!

The Other Side of Bar Harbor
The apartment is fresh, new, with antiques and comfort. It has wonderful light and a deck outside the kitchen thru sliding doors. The town is quiet with good coffee shops, food purveyors, and a few good restaurants. We spent considerable time at Acadia and made two separate trips to the Schoodic peninsula.
