Winter Park Ski Resort Tours and Activities

With seven ski territories, summer sports, spas, diverse restaurants and live music, this is one of Colorado’s most complete mountain resorts.

Visit Winter Park Ski Resort for year-round adventures amid Fraser Valley’s stunning natural beauty. Enjoy activities from skiing, snowboarding, sledding and tubing to mountain biking and mineral panning. Winter Park Ski Resort opened in 1940 as a facility for residents of Denver. Today, it’s one of Colorado’s most popular mountain resorts.

A major highlight of the resort is the Seven Territories, skiable terrain of over 3,000 acres (1,200 hectares). Find perfectly groomed slopes suitable for all skiing and snowboarding levels. Glide over family-friendly slopes of Winter Park, off-piste runs of Vasquez Ridge and open Parsenn Bowl. Explore the moguls and tree skiing of Mary Jane, backcountry terrain of The Cirque and exhilarating glades of Eagle Wind.

Hone your freestyling skills at the resort’s six snow parks. Discover jumps and rails for beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Challenge the 18-foot (5.5-metre) superpipe or relax on a sunny terrace and watch experts perform tricks. Take the whole family to the tubing hill, complete with four lanes and thrilling curves.

During the summer, ride a chairlift to the mountaintop and admire the striking beauty of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Bike and hike along marked trails or speed around the mountain on a 3,000-foot-long (900-metre) bobsled track. Play a round of 18 holes on a pristine putting course and try mining for gems. Watch live music performances during the Friday Music Series and attend open-air movie screenings.

At the base of the mountain is Winter Park Resort Village, home to hotels, lodges, shops and spas. Dine at the resort’s varied restaurants, including coffeehouses, a pizzeria and a soup café. Indulge in après-ski entertainment at a Belgian beer bar.

Located about 70 miles (110 kilometres) west of Denver, the area is easily reachable via train or rented car. Park in the free spaces available in the resort village.

Check the Winter Park Ski Resort official website for details about ski lessons, activity prices, equipment rental, lift tickets and lodging rates. Winter season runs from November through April and summer season operates between June and September. Plan for an exciting holiday whenever you visit.
