"Had a lovely stay at this hotel. We had a funny smell in our room . We went to reception and was given the choice of two other rooms. The staff were excellent..we had dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning and the service and food was delicious. There wasn’t much opened around the area as it seems most places closed on a Sunday earlier. "

"Great location and well maintained clean hotel. Nobody at reception when I arrived and no way to contact anyone so a bit of a wait. This is a traditional old British building (though modernised) but this does mean uneven floors, small corridors and lots of stairs. Rooms are more than comfortable, well decorated and overall I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again."

"Second visit to this magnificent hotel and cannot fault anything really. Fantastic staff and always welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. At the moment it appears to be having renovation work which causes no problems for guests.
