"The apartment was so nice especially with 3 children, we brought practically everything we needed with us down to towel, the down bulk bed was a bit too low, one have to be careful getting in and out, the blanket stink of sweat, please do wash the blanket, you have to the check-in yourself, the customer service was contacted via email, and they respond almost immediately, nice location 10 minutes walk to the beach, getting around will be better with a car, I would highly recommend."

"My wife and I stayed here with our grandchildren we all loved it. Plenty of room and 3 balconies. Very comfy beds and nice sized bedrooms. Only Downside is the steep stairs and the toilet is downstairs so going to the loo on a night is a bit of a problem but apart from that everything was good. Very near to the beach and restaurants and very good Baker. Bonus 2 bicycles for your use, excellent for the trip to the bakery"

The children (12 years old) were very happy with the sporting field behind our holiday home (basketball, football, tennis, tabletennis and jeu de boules). "When I arrived at the hotel I was very surprised at the high standard of the hotel. I was allowed to check in a bit earlier which was very helpful. My rooms was furnished to a very high standard with a coffee machine and kettle. The reception staff were very helpful and informative. "The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"
