"A very nice hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth buying or adding on as an option when you book. Parking was easy and spacious. The hotel was very clean (apart from the shower head that had a lot of mineral build up which I cleaned off myself to improve the water pressure in the shower). Located right across the road from a school but we didn't experience any noise problems...

"I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. "Lovely team that work at the hotel and restaurant. Great location to quickly be in the middle of Würzburg and to walk over the Main River to the other side. I was just a little disappointed with the size of my room this time, especially since I was traveling with my dog. It was a little tough to maneuver in the room with two suitcases and a dog. My room in April 2024 was more comfortable. Nonetheless, we managed and enjoyed our stay."
