When swimming at the beach, swim in the sea at the bottom of the stairs, less current and it felt slightly warmer.

Be sure to swim near the life guards - this beach in unpatrolled and the waves are big, and don't venture too far out unless you are a very strong swimmer. Great fun to be had in knee deep water though!
