Mercure Nagano Matsushiro Resort & Spa

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (294)
"Spacious room, comfortable bed, service is ok. Breakfast spread was great. Free parking available. Do take note that hotel charges ¥900 per room for bathing tax, apparently for usage of public bath (onsen), even though we did not use it at all during our 3 nights stay. Hotel staff explained that this bathing tax will be charged regardless of usage. This is not logic, in my point of view. Mecure management (being a big hotel chain) should look into a managing system to only charge this tax for...

TENNEN-ONSEN HOTEL LiVEMAX PREMIUM Nagano-ekimae

2.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (195)
"The hotel is located within reasonable walking distance from the train station. The hotel room was a single double bed for two which was cramped, but it was just for sleeping so it’s doable. There was no open floor area to open a full size suitcase without having to close it every time you need to exit it use the restroom, typical of Japanese hotels. Still a good value for the reasonable prices."

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (518)
"The Dormy Inn in Nagano was an excellent value! The location is first rate - less than 10 minutes walking from Nagano Station. The Inn has wonderful amenities - an indoor/outdoor onsen. After onsen free ice cream snacks. A very tasty breakfast including Japanese and western cuisine - the quality and variety was great and the price was reasonable. They also have chilled apple juice during the day and made to order ramen in the evening. If you miss the ramen, they will give you a...

Chisun Grand Nagano

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (781)
"Chisun Grand Nagano was a great place to stay for our one night in Nagano. The rooms were relatively spacious for Japan hotels and very clean and comfortable. The room even has a massage chair!!! The staff was very helpful with checking in, storing luggage, and shipping luggage to our next stop. The only complaint I’d have about the hotel is the train station is pretty loud and can be heard in the hotel room - but sometimes a lil ambient noise is nice! "

"It was our first time to this area, we chose Ryuoo upon recommendation from a Japanese friend. Very nice Western-style hotel at Ryuoo ski resort. We were in the King Suite, a 2 bedroom/2 bath with a living room. Super spacious, modern living. It is located a very short walk to the base & ticket office. The staff is helpful & they have a great female employee (sorry I forgot her name) who speaks fluent English & French, or translation apps works with everyone. Washer/dryer downstairs, microwave...
