"There was really little to recommend this property. There was an appalling smell in the bathroom (presumably from the drains) which permeated into the lounge area. The area wasn't very nice. It was up two flights of stairs which wasn't easy for me to cope with. There was an issue on check-in as the email that was sent an hour before did not correspond to the actions required for the parking space and we had to ring up about it. Someone else parked in our designated space on our final night...

"The room I had was roomy and clean, bathroom/shower again clean and spacious. Equipment and white goods suited my needs. Entrance to the room a little dark as outside lights didn't react early enough. Overall I would book again if in that area."

"The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. "Our stay at Rushton Hall was perfect and the room (Hollyhock) was very large as was the bathroom with both a bath and separate shower. The Spa and the team are helpful and friendly. Dinner was slow to arrive but very tasty. Some parts of the public areas could do with more attention to detail for example the Chandler in the dinner hall had damaged parts handing down over breakfast trays containing food. Overall Great location excellent staff and fabulous WiFi. For an establishment of this type and the prices charged. My personal rating would be 8.5 /10."
