Welcome to our beautiful holiday home - the perfect place to explore York and it's surrounding areas.

The holiday home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (TV in the bath!), a stylish open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area and parking for 2 cars. Free Wi-Fi and smart tv including Netflix. We have furnished our home to the highest standard and added lots of extra touches in order to provide our guests with a place they will want to come back to again and again. We are sure you will feel perfectly at home here. 

**Recently added** Fibre 150 broadband which is the fastest broadband package currently on the market. Perfect for if you're visiting and have multiple devices!

Situated in a quiet residential area just 8-10 minutes walk away (we have timed it!) from the historic city of York, the house could not be in a better location. From just round the corner of the house you can take a walk by the river Ouse, over Skeldergate bridge and you will be in the city in no time at all. The beauty of this location is that it offers you easy access to all of the city's attractions as well as having a quiet retreat to return to at the end of the day. Being slightly away from the city centre, there is no passing traffic near the house so we can guarantee you a good nights sleep during your stay so you can recharge your batteries for the following day! 

Bishopthorpe Road is just at the top of the street - winner of "The Best British High Street 2015" award. On this charming street you will find pubs serving traditional ales, coffee shops, restaurants, bakers, grocery stores, deli's and takeaways as well as specialist shops. 

If you are travelling as a family you will appreciate beautiful Rowntree Park which is only a 5 minute walk away. Here you will find plenty to keep the children entertained  including 2 play areas, basketball courts, duck pond, skate park, tennis courts and the lovely Rowntree Park Reading Café.

Fantastic holiday home
We had a fantastic stay. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Two parking spaces was a luxury but we didn't need to drive as York was in easy walking distance. We can't wait to visit again.

Fabulous accommodation!
The house is beautifully presented, immaculately clean and has a very welcome chilled bottle of wine waiting for the guests in the fridge ( along with 2 pints of milk which is always handy). Being so close to the city centre and with free parking is a huge asset.

Perfect location - lovely home
The house was perfectly located near all attractions and restaurants while still being in a quiet neighborhood. We loved walking up for coffee on 'Bishy' road before starting our day touring. The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable!

Family Trip
This property is amazing and for anyone visiting York a perfect base. Right from the start of booking the owner was extremely helpful and flexible. The location is best of both worlds, Close to the centre but Bishy Road is a gem in itself you wouldnt necessarily come across. The house itself was beautiful with lots of lovely touches and very well stocked. We had an amazing time in this property and will definitely be visiting again. I couldnt recommend more!

Family Holiday in York
Perfect location ,everything is in walking distance .The house is really comfortable ,very well decorated and clean. It's a family friendly home with DVDs and playgames for children and with a kitchen perfectly designed with all the ítems you can need. Is located in a very quiet neighborhood near a street full of local shops where you can buy all you need and near a lovely park to spend time with the children. The host is very kind and nice . No doubt that is the place you should stay if you are thinking about a family tríp to York.

Beautiful home in a great location
The home was clean, modern and spacious. It's well located, an easy walk to the city center and close to restaurants and grocery store. There is parking as well. There was a welcome book with plenty of info on the house, the town, and the surrounding area. We were also happy to see a welcome pack of goodies (wine, cookies, etc) waiting for us when we arrived. This was one of several home rentals that our family of 4 stayed in during our 2 week trip to the UK, and it was definitely one of our favorites. Highly recommend.

Lovely house near city centre
Very clean throughout. Spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room. Extremely well equipped. TV above bath a nice touch. Bedrooms perfect for us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 5 & 8). Two parking spaces just around the corner. City centre only a 10 min walk. Rowntree park (good for kids) only 5 min walk. Location was very handy for city break. Only negative was the shower head needs to be higher up, apart from that - fantastic all round :-)

Perfection! I wish I could give it six starts.
This home is a true gem. Everything is new and lovely. Plenty of room and closet space. Very quiet in the evenings. Very fast communication with the owners. It's close enough to the main York attractions that we were able to walk to them (though I'll admit we are a walking family). Groceries, shops, a butcher, and an amazing bakery are a quarter mile away. We wish we had booked for more than three nights. Jay

Such a comfortable and well appointed property. Perfect for a stay in York.
The house is warm, comfortable and fitted to an incredibly high standard. The kitchen/dining room extension has everything you could possibly need, should you want to cook and eat in. I’d love such a kitchen at home. The weather was good so we were able to use the outdoor area for a cup of tea and glass of wine. The sitting room has two large comfortable sofas for relaxing after a busy day in the City. Upstairs, the bedrooms are extremely comfortable, well decorated and relaxing. The bathroom is small but ideal - great shower and even a TV at the end of the bath. The location of the property is perfect. Close to the river for a short walk into the city. Close to ‘Bishy Road’ which has a number of cafes, restaurants and shops. Close to Rowntree Park for a walk in the beautiful gardens. I hope I have the opportunity to return to this property in the future. Highly recommend.

A fantastic property
We enjoyed a lovely post Christmas, pre New Year’s Eve stay and Caroline couldn’t have been more helpful. The property is truly lovely, everything is finished to such a high standard. There was absolutely everything you could need to cook with pots and pans wise as well as oil, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and a bottle of wine, shortbread and milk which was very welcome after a long journey. The house has ample parking and was so close to town, we walked in everyday. There are food shops, cafes and restaurants on Bishy Road, a couple of minutes walk away. The house was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and there is lots of storage for clothes, so really suitable for a week’s stay or longer. My husband loved sitting in the bath and watching the TV! There were also some games and DVDs too. There is so much to see and do in York, we had more still to see but my teenage boys loved it. I can recommend the ‘can you escape?’ escape room, lots of fun and we escaped! We would love to come back and wouldn’t look anywhere else to stay. I highly recommend.
