"As a hostel located at the mountain remote from the city, I think this hostel would provide everything I need if I want to be closer to the nature. Wifi connection was weak. Cooking was not allowed even though a small kitchen was given. The toilet and shower rooms were still nice. The sleeping area was also nice. Parking area was provided, but it's not on a flat place. In addition, you would hear very nice sounds of the nature anytime when the window was opened - I actually enjoyed it very...
"I come here and bring friends once or twice a year. The owner is a great guy. Very friendly. The properties are looking in need of repair now from some years ago. But still a great stay on a mountain in a real jungle. Ive noticed the prices are higher this year. "
"Yawn yard is beautifully designed and at the same time very comfortable to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ingredients for breakfast and dinner were sourced from the locals and were amazing! Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone "
"Love this place.
Would stay longer another time.
I probably could have asked how to use the shower / bath it was more hi tech than I am used to and I do not read the language. "
"Location is what we were looking for, having a car made travel no issue. This is a very well run facility, acres of space in the condo and great facilities. Staff were always pleasant and helpful and the village was close by (walkable)"
"Excellent place for those who want to get away from the busy city's. The house was clean tidy and the host is very friendly.
The only downside (and it's only slight) is the local bus is only 4 times a day and the more frequent buses are 15-20 min walk away."
"The room is pretty new but the surrounding of the hotel is not good. The location is not good, the road connected to the hotel is like a graveyard. The breakfast is not good, very limited items and not tasty.
Staff keeps on persude us to eat in the hotel's restaurant, very expensive dinner 40,000 yen per person.
Overall not recommend this hotel."

"We had an unforgettable stay at Halekulani Okinawa. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with the warmest smiles and genuine kindness — they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Our room had a breathtaking ocean view that we enjoyed every morning and evening — it felt like a postcard come to life. The hotel’s facilities are outstanding: immaculate pools, beautiful landscaping, and an overall sense of calm and elegance.
Traveling with a child can be tricky, but the team here made it effortless. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to help with a kind word or thoughtful gesture. We felt cared for in every interaction.
In short, Halekulani Okinawa combines stunning views, exceptional service, and world-class facilities into a perfect family getaway. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already planning our return.
Highly recommended for families seeking both luxury and heartfelt hospitality."
"Large apartment that comfortably accommodated our family of 5. Beautiful grounds. The kids loved the pool. Great location to visit Heart Rock and the Ocean Tower as well as key sights about 30 minutes away, including Churaumi Aquarium, Nakijin-jo ruins, and waterfalls in the north and near Nago. Great restaurant at the resort. A car is a necessity. "
"Staff was friendly and professional. If you are a foreigner that speaks English almost every sign I saw was translated. The amenities were on every floor and were quite convenient. There is an Izakaya on the property that serves a complimentary mixed sashimi dish if you show a room key. The atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. As we do not drive a car we did a lot of walking and took local transportation whenever possible. If you happen to stay here there are some local attractions such as Pineapple park and Fruitsland which I recommend for the kids (we enjoyed it as well). Most of what we experienced was by walking. The hotel is pretty close to the beach and the view is stunning. We did a lot of exploring by foot and found ourselves at old town Nago which led us to discover many hidden treasures.
This was a trip we will not forget. Thank you again to the staff at Phoenix Park Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable."
