"Casa Magdalena is absolutely a hidden gem in San Carlos! I am A single woman that drove down from Arizona with my dog and even before I was on my way, we had communicated over the phone so I felt a sense of security. Cecilia greeted me as soon as we arrived and from there on it was just a perfect experience. My dog was more than welcome and they were very few guests so it almost felt like I had the place to myself. Even decided to spend an extra night because it was so relaxing and peaceful....

"The Shell Castle his hands down the most creative and artistic place we have ever stayed. It is beyond what I could describe with all the shells, stone work and mirrors. It was like staying on a movie set. Hilda the property manager is superb and available for any needs we may have had. All the bases were covered. "The ad stated a bunk bed was in one of the rooms but it was a trendle bed for any future residents. Also.. there was Ants everywhere on the kitchen counter & the couch. (pepper around edges seemed to help) HOWEVER. Regardless, this stay was truly, very peaceful when at the resort, in the pool, on the beach, all the workers around and the guests who stay were all so nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here! I will be back no matter the ants 🙂"
