The kitchen opens up to the roomy living area, which features contemporary decor and colorful artwork. You’ll want to kick back and relax on the large sectional sofa - especially after a long hike or show at Pappy & Harriets. The media center features a flat-screen TV that includes a Roku streaming device as well as a Sonos sound bar. Like in the rest of the house, the generous windows flood the room w/ light and incredible views.

On the back patio, you’ll find a large built-in propane barbecue w/ ample countertop space. A built-in cushioned seating area beckons daytime or nighttime lounging and conversation. Just steps away is a propane fire feature w/ four low chairs that invite visitors to draw close to the flame on cool evenings.
Nestled in a jumble of nearby weathered boulders is an area devoted to a top-of-the-line Jacuzzi-brand hot tub — along w/ an adjacent galvanized stock tank that has been repurposed as a “cowboy” tub for cool dips in warm weather. Two sleek modern chaise lounge chairs complete this outdoor “room.”

Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.
–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

► FAMILY: Traveling w/ little ones? We’ve got you covered w/ a few supplies including a Pack ’n play/travel crib, children's books, toys and dinnerware, and even babysitter recommendations! / Please request in advance
► PETS: Your dog is welcome, and there is a one-time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per booking.

Getting Around:
While we are off a paved road, many roads in the High Desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
Other Things to Note:
• EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.
• DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized.
• SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!
• CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the High Desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.
• ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain
