"The bed was to hard for my old back. The free breakfast was very good. The facility appears to be very clean. Ask for a room away from the freeway as it is very noisy on that side."
"Cool little spot firther from any amenities than I anticipated. Las Islitas was a 10min drive and very cool place to hang out. The beach at Kavala was pretty good, a bit less swimmable/beach vibe than expected but great for walking up and down at sunset. Overall nice stay, just a bit of a small isolated vibe. Enjoyed the pool too, though its quite small."
"Cool place with ac, bed and tv. Pretty simple and relaxing. Restaurants with beach scenery were down the street. Pool was nice to relax in. Wifi was not good tho. "
"The property was beautiful. Very tiny though. Maybe about 15 rooms? 20 max. The entire property was nice but both sides were terrible to look at. Debris. The staff was very stand off ish. Arrogant. 2/5 stars for the staff

"This property was excellent for our party of 10. Very spacious, clean, in a great area. And we can’t forget the out door pool! Everyone had a great time that we are all talking about renting this place again for our next get together. "
"We booked and stayed 1 night in this very cute on the beach cabana. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the ocean waves all night. As a bonus we were invited to have coffee the next morning with the host and they shared a lovely breakfast of freshly made tortillas and cheese creme & veggies."
"Rosie takes great care of you. Room really nice with comfy King Bed. She provided extra touches like French press for coffee, extra pillow for me, for scat up to use the little kitchen in the parking area, and let us book an extra night. Convenient location too. "
"We stayed in villa 9 which is a nice sized studio. It has a very nice, well equipped kitchen and a very good sized bathroom and shower. Very nicely decorated. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs but who doesn’t need a little exercise every day. It had great views of the ocean from the room and blackout curtains for that early morning sun and the rooftop is very nice with gorgeous views as well. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks...
"It’s very close to the town square and not far from the beach. Lots of restaurants in the area to chose from. The ocean is great to swim in. Very little undertow. The room is small and you need to be able to take stairs.
Overall it’s a pretty place to stay for a couple of nights. "
"Great hotel with awesome rooms. Comfy beds, wifi. Great views. Short walk down to the beach, amazing hosts. It was my first time to chacala I loved everything about it. The restaurants in the area are a bit limited in their menus unless you love seafood. Next time we will bring our own food to cook. It’s worth coming back too. "
"1. Someone from the house started contacting me weeks before my family vacation to wire transfer a deposit. I wasn't sure if it was fraud so I politely told them I would pay when I checked in. 2. The address that Hotels.com reflects for the location is different than the one the location ended up sending me so I drove around for a while trying to find the location, so if your going to this location in a taxi make sure you confirm the address. 3. They didn't have hot water when we arrived. 4....

"The property was clean and staff friendly but it is located across the highway which you had to cross to get to the beach/downtown which could be tricky at times as it tends to quite busy. My biggest “complaint” is that we were only issued 2 towels, no hand towels for the bathroom and no tea towel or dishcloth for the kitchen which renders it somewhat useless if you cannot even wipe up a spill on the counter. Also, there were no blankets and I know that it is Mexico but a light blanket would have been nice, the staff did give us an extra set of sheets to use though. We stayed 2 nights and so going out to buy a tea towel etc does not really make sense.
There is a store and a couple of restaurants in the same complex so that is convenient.

"The hotel has lovely grounds, and is quite quiet. It is said to have an excellent restaurant but we didn't eat there. Our room was very comfortable but the sliding doors on the patio didn't lock. The bellhop had a carpenter cut two pieces of wood to secure the door. We were satisfied with this response. We would recommend Garza Canela. "

5/5 Excellent
Authentic Mexican experience
"3rd time to this fantastic resort that’s as authentic Mexico you can’t get. If you’re looking for luxury, 5 star, white counters resort this is not the place for you. This is all about experiencing Mexican food, culture, and the people. Staff are all incredible, the beach is by far the best beach in all of Mexico and I’ve been to both Caribbean side and Pacific side. "
