"We had the most amazing time at Casa de la Loma. We arrived and Ana and Freddy were there to greet us and when we walked into the home just as the sun was setting it literally took our breath away. The pictures don’t begin to show the beauty of this place. A 4 wheel drive is needed to get up the last hill but it’s not scary at all - and I’m a wimp. "Our best stay in Costa Rica! We traveled to many different regions over the course of our 2 weeks in this beautiful country. This home was our last stop and the best in terms of amenities, cleanliness, surroundings and comfort. It’s about a 10 -15 minute ride to some amazing beaches. "

Loved It!!

"This place was amazing from the second we arrived. Staff person checking us in was polite, accommodating and made you feel like you were best friends. Because it’s a smaller hotel, we got to know all of the staff and they couldn’t have been nicer people! On site parking was easy. Location was quiet except for some road noise. Walking to Playa Samara beach was convenient and took less than 10 minutes down a dirt road. Room was large with a separate foyer area that had a sink and mini fridge. Pool is nice. Breakfast was good as were the drinks. We did not eat lunch or dinner so can’t comment on that. Three minute drive to Playa Carrillo - which is an amazing beach. Seven minute drive to downtown Samara. Nothing negative to say about this place - check it out!"

"This property is peaceful and calming, and there is an excellent restaurant beside it. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic, no frills, (no hair dryer, or shampoo for example) but we had a fan, and it was clean and comfortable. The pool and was nice, and the beach area was lovely. Pretty gardens. We were very happy!"

Great hotel

"We had an amazing stay at Lagarta Lodge.It is really a five star boutique hotel. The location is perfect next to a wildlife preserve and the views are gorgeous of the ocean and the preserve. Everyone on staff is so friendly and very attentive. They are what makes it a great hotel. The room and terrace were quite large and had a beautiful view. There are two lovely Infiniti pools and the main restaurant and rooftop sunset bar and restaurant were open air with great servers. We also visited the spa for a deep tissue couples massage and it was one of the best ever. We will definitely visit again!!"

"We have gone to quite a few all inclusive hotels and this was by far one of best ones. This place was absolutely incredible! Really well kept, super clear. The staff was amazing, very accommodating, the food at every one of restaurants was really good. We also booked massages at their spa, by far one of the best massages we’ve ever had! We went to the spa on our last day and we wished we had gone earlier so that we could have gone back a second time. We did the sunset excursion which was super fun. I cannot say enough good things about this resort, we cannot wait to go back and we will. "
