An amazing hotel! Beautiful grounds and rooms. It was like stepping into a little dream. The restaurant and staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food so fresh and incredible selection of local seafood creativity prepared and presented. The front desk staff were warm and exceptionally friendly. The macaw’s living in the lobby area were beautiful….my favorite in the morning. The pool is absolutely stunning, just breathtaking. My favorite stay ever in Ixtapa and I’ve been there numerous times. Enjoy!

This was my ninth time visiting Mexico, and my favorite hotel by far! I loved that the hotel is very authentic, as far as its materials-wood, stones, tiles, and stucco-beautiful carved wooden doors. They scattered hibiscus flowers on my bed and left three bottles of water, which I refilled at a water bottle close by (bonus points). My room, while technically on the first floor, was elevated and had a large balcony and an excellent view of the beach. I loved that I could walk down to the pool, the beach, and the fantastic restaurant very easily. Alberto, who checked me in, immediately offered to carry my suitcase to my room, and made sure I knew how to operate the AC before he left. The staff at their restaurant, Bistro Del Mar could not have been more excellent and welcoming. I was traveling alone, and in Mexico, at resorts and hotels, that can sometimes result in awkward or inattentive service, but this was not the case. Cesar was always genuine in his pleasure at making me my nightly margaritas (delicious and not too sweet), and my frequent server, Tomas, was always attentive but non intrusive. Every meal I had was top notch, and right on the ocean! I highly recommend Aura Del Mar and can’t wait to return.

Amazing staff, we love the traditional decor, great location, and all our needs were tended to. We were traveling with our 5 year old son who is a picky eater and they made food to order special for him every meal. Thank you Salvador, Fortunato, Daniel, Leonardo and Pablo for taking care of us! We had a very good experience at this hotel! We stayed three nights, we liked this hotel very much! This old style hotel has beautiful views and clean rooms also on the beach!
