"We stayed in the penthouse suite for a very affordable price during off peak. Overlooking the water. Bed was so comfortable, i had the best nights sleep. Option of a separate bath and shower. Lazy boy chairs to enjoy the seaview. All Sky Channels. We loved it!"

Lovely little town. Very white sand beach, quiet, clean, comfortable. If you are thinking to go to hot water beach, here is the best staying.

Beautiful relaxed, no curbs, no traffic lights, few cars. Lovely wee village where we had an amazing breakfast - recommend it to anyone.

Lovely little town with a general dealer for bread and milk and any emergency things you may have forgotten. They also have decent spades for Hot Water Beach at really reasonable prices.

The parking arrangement for Cathedral cove is a scam at $15 (?) for 4 hours. Perhaps a consequence of NZ becoming overrun with tourists. Maybe time to ease back on pushing NZ as a destination until facilities have caught up.
