Join an expert guide for a 2-day adventure along the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Explore Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the world’s highest active volcanoes, discover a lagoon inside the crater of Quilotoa Volcano, and explore neighbouring villages to see how locals live.

Day 1: Quito, Cotopaxi Volcano.- Set out from Quito early in the morning for a scenic drive along the Avenue of the Volcanoes towards Cotopaxi Volcano. Once you arrive at Cotopaxi National Park, hike around the Limpiopungo Lake, located at the foothills of the volcano. Climb aboard a vehicle for a ride up to 14,764 ft (4,500 m), and then ascend even higher on foot to survey the volcano's glaciers. After the descent, lunch in a local Hostería. Overnight in Cotopaxi.

Day 2: Quilotoa Lagoon.- On the way to Quilotoa, stop at a straw house and get to know a local family and their customs. Then, visit Tigua, a town famous for its colourful paintings. Afterwards, continue to Quilotoa Volcano and descend to the lagoon located inside the crater. A kayak in the lagoon is available (not included). If you like, enjoy an unforgettable mule or horseback ride (Not included). Return ride to Quito.
