What you can expect

Spend an amazing time exploring the city of Joy, Kolkata with an exemplary guide. Cover popular tourist attractions on foot on this tour. Starting with the 18th-century Writer's Building at BBD Bagh. The building was constructed during British rule for trading & tax operations. Today it serves as a secretariat facility for the state government.

Next up you'll stop by the Mausoleum of Job Charnock in the St. John's compound. Catch sight of this Moroccan-style mausoleum named after Job Charnock, an English administrator who is also regarded as the founder of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). You'll next visit St. John's Church which is one of the first public buildings constructed by the East India Company.

Thereafter, the guide will escort you to the Governor's House, a marvellous building built for the Marquess of Wellesley back in the day. At last, you'll witness the spirit of the Victoria Memorial, a white marble splendour dedicated to the former queen at the heart of Kolkata.
