7am Depart for Taman Negara enroute visit iconic Batu Caves. Climb 272 steps into temple of Hindu Deity honoured during festivities. Ladies to cover knees and shoulders. Taman Negara is 130 million years old tropical rainforest - home to tigers, elephants, tapirs.... 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, colonies of aborigines. On arrival at Kuala Tahan, trek to the VIEWPOINT for a panoramic view of Gunung Tahan. Catch a boat for rapids shooting to an aborigine village - the ladies shy away and the men "run" away only to return with their hunting tools. Watch fire making and blowpipe native demonstration and you can partake in the activities. The rainforest is their supermarket. Then continue trekking to a mesmerising rainforest waterfalls for a cool dip - a therapeutic stress reliever. Complimentary local lunch at the Floating Cafe. Check in. Walk down to the Vegetable Market to see the various vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. Also visit the Cactus Gardens. Check in to hotel. Free and easy.
